WELLBEING & WORK ENVIRONMENT 23-24

In 2023, we developed wellness and social activities across the team, reconfigured our working environment to support the health of our team and established both physical and mental health support in the business.

We treat everyone and their circumstances uniquely, providing staff with flexibility to meet the demands of work and life without additional stress.

See below our goals for 2023 and what we did as a team to work towards them...

2) Create an environment which supports staff wellbeing

3) Develop team activities which supports social well-being

Across 2023, we:

  • Re-configured our working environment to create spaces for flexible and collaborative work.

  • Set up a programme of wellbeing activities using the skills and personal interests of people across the team (e.g. fine art classes, meditation, progressive muscular relaxation, book club).

  • Celebrated team success with social activities and team lunches, centred in the local Hope Valley.

  • Held quarterly social event to reward the hard work and commitment of our team. We have also helped the team arrange impromptu activities which have promoted social connection.

  • Staff have been able to acces our Vitality health insurance scheme which has enabled them to access benefits and discounts which promote social, physical and mental health.

  • Introduced a company wide gym-membership for a local gym in Hathersage.

  • Promoted other schemes for team members to access such as the cycle to work scheme, BHN rewards and our mental health referral pathway for when life gets tough.

IN 2024

Across 2024, we aim to:

1) Explore full benefits of our Vitality health benefit package, educating ourselves and the team on the full extent of support available

2) Promote physical and mental well-being across the team by introducing team workshops and healthy eating options in the office

3) Re-purpose and decorate our inside and outside spaces to promote safe, healthy and welcoming working environments
